What does a Biokineticist do
Biokinetics is a medical profession using movement and exercise as treatment. A Biokineticist is a health care professional who specializes in exercise therapy. We treat patients using clinical exercise therapy as the main form of treatment. This inlcudes implementing the correct prescription of exercises and implemeting it with the correct technique for pain, injuries or other specific goals. Clinical exercise also includes the modification of movements in our every day life to assists in joint, muscle, ligament and tendon injuries, pain or musculoskeletal conditions. Additionally, exercise therapy is implemented for chronic conditions that affect your heart, lungs / organs or your entire body.
Our unique treatment
As mentioned, our specialty is movement and exercise, and what effective benefits clinical exercise can bring to a patient. We only use exercise and movement therapy to provide treatment to patients. This is unique to biokinetics. Additionally, we do not only treat injuries and chronic conditions but we aim to prevent it. If we cannot assist you in preventing or healing it, we aim to assist in the long-term management of it! A Biokineticist understands what your body needs in the form of movement to heal, improve or manage your body’s health. We use this combined knowledge of how your body uses movement and a clinical approach to exercise to prevent, treat and manage injuries and chronic conditions.
